ATVING
The Northwoods offers plenty of trail systems for ATV enthusiasts. There is the Tuscobia Trail System which consists of 62 miles of beautiful scenery running west of the Park Falls area and the Flambeau Trail System, a 40-mile journey running to the east and through the approximately 800,000 acres Chequamegon National Forest. The Dead Horse Run Trail is approximately 70 miles in length, runs north of the Park Falls area close to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage, and is located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet Forest. The Georgetown Trail near Kennan is a small ride, peaceful and scenic.
Hiking
Want to see nature at its finest? There are hiking trails throughout the area to provide peace and quiet along with seeing the beauty of what the Northwoods has to offer. Walking the trails in any season will provide you with scenes that you’ll never want to forget ~ the regrowth of spring, the activeness of the summer, the colors of autumn and the crispness of winter all give you an idea of the ever-changing seasons. What a great experience!
Hunting
Known as the Ruffed Grouse Capital of the World and offering an array of public land to hunt on, Park Falls offers many opportunities to bag that big buck or bring in your limit of birds. Hunting deer, turkey, bear, and grouse is a favorite pastime of many people near and far, many coming from all areas of the country.
Snowmobiling
Well-groomed and clearly marked trails await you for your snowmobiling enjoyment. Meet up with friends at a nearby restaurant and warm up with a bowl of chili or ride the trails all day long in the crisp winter weather. The sights and sounds of winter are great memories!
